Working Group on Indigenous Food Sovereignty – Vancity Credit Union
Vancity Credit Union commissioned InnoNative to produce a short film featuring the Working Group on Indigenous Food Sovereignty - an Indigenous-led organization that’s supporting initiatives and communities across BC in developing local food sustainability and sovereignty. This was filmed in East Vancouver at the Strathcona gardens and along the Shuswap communities in BC’s interior.
Vancouver Coastal Health - Training Videos
InnoNative was brought on board by Vancouver Coastal Health to produce a series of 22 short training videos for their organizational members and new hires. These videos focused on educating care providers and staff on the systemic barriers and the historical inequities that First Nations people in BC face when accessing health care services.
Hlk’yak’ii: To Start a Fire – The Haida Gwaii Museum
The Haida Gwaii Museum commissioned a video series called Hlk’yak’ii: To Start a Fire. This series played in an ongoing exhibition at the museum on display and showcases Haida food producers and harvesters from across the Islands - sharing process and meaning behind work being done to reconnect Haida people with their lands and culture through healthy eating and ways of living.
Powershift: Young and Rising – Greenpeace
Powershift Young and Rising is a Greenpeace supported initiative that brings together thousands of youth from across the country to advocate for climate action. InnoNative was brought on board to lead a youth media team of 5 participants in learning how to document events, while also producing a short film highlighting the 3-day event that took place in Ottawa in winter 2019.
