As part of a larger documentary film, InnoNative captured the Doig River First Nation Rodeo in summer 2024. Commissioned by the City of Fort St. John and done in partnership with the Treaty 8 Tribal Association - This served as an exciting audio-visual highlight of Doig River’s annual big event full of culture, kids, and immense skill.

The Haida Gwaii Media Collective brought together two extremely talented Indigenous artists Shoshannah Green and Charlene Johnny to paint a beautiful community mural at the Daajing Giids hospital. InnoNative filmed the entire process and delivered a short highlight of the process and the inspiration behind the work.

Powershift Young and Rising is a Greenpeace supported initiative that brings together thousands of youth from across the country to advocated for climate action. InnoNative was brought on board to lead a youth media team of 5 participants in learning how to document events, while also producing a short film highlighting the 3-day event that took place in Ottawa in winter 2019.

The First Nations Health Authority commissioned InnoNative to produce a short highlight video that captured a 3 day gathering of sacred knowledge holders and traditional health practitioners on Haida Gwaii. The film leaned into the natural beauty to accentuate the powerful story that unfolded.

Since 2013, Patrick Shannon and InnoNative have been leading a youth media team comprise of 4-6 members to document this 3-day Youth Assembly event - producing a short documentary and music video each year that closes out the yearly conference.
Media team participants get hands on with professional camera equipment and learn to document and edit these films on a very short time frame - which have been enjoyed regularly by locals on-island year after year.

Gathering Our Nations was an event that brought together Indigenous Youth from across the Northwest coast of BC to gather and support one-another within the main theme of suicide prevention. InnoNative documented the weekend event and produced a highlight video that captured the beauty of the work being done on Haida Gwaii.
